About The American Curl Breed
The American Curl is one of the youngest discovered cat breeds. The focus of a genetic mutation that first appeared in Shulamith. The cat in question went on to have 4 kittens, 2 of which had the traditional curled ears. Selective breeding of the Curl began in 1983 as cat breeders became more interested in the breed. American Curls only received full recognition in 1993 from the International Cat Association.

American Curls are gentle, amiable creatures. Not big talkers the Curl will always gently let you know when it requires attention. After a hard days work you can count on the American Curl looking forward to greeting you (even your guests) and settling down on your lap for a sleep. Curls are also fond of children which makes them a perfect family cat.
